I saw this recipe on Number 2 Pencil, a fellow foodie blog that posts some amazing looking recipes, of course I couldn't resist trying this one out for myself! We're mixing my favorite childhood cereal, peanut butter and marshmallows? It's like it was meant to be.
The recipe is really easy to follow and definitely quick to make! The longest part is waiting for the treats to cool and set before you lose your own self control!
I definitely would take it to the next level next time and melt some chocolate chips for a nice drizzle on top or even halve the amount of Captain Crunch and replace it with Cocoa Puffs. This recipe can be taken just oh so far...

Peanut Butter Captain Crunch Treats
6 tablespoons of butter
1 bag of large marshmallows - 10 ounces
1/2 cup of creamy peanut butter
7 cups of Peanut Butter Captain Crunch
Melt butter in a large pot, once butter is almost completely melted, add marshmallows. Stir over low heat until marshmallows are almost melted, then add peanut butter. Stir until combined.
Pour cereal into marshmallow mixture and stir until well combined. Pour cereal mixture into 8x8 pan, lined with parchment paper. Use hands slightly dampened with water to press cereal into pan. This will keep it from sticking to your hands.
Let cool, cut with serrated knife and serve.
